New WFD KV 03-2020 revise4-01

The World Federation of the Deaf Board has reviewed the situation with regard to hosting the 4th WFD Conference as an online only event or as a hybrid event. We have had close consultation with the Thailand Organizing Committee, carefully reviewed the Covid-19 situation globally, and reached out to Ordinary Members and Regional Secretariats who have registered to receive their views.
After this review, the WFD Board has decided that the 4th WFD Conference will be an online only conference. There will be no in-person option. Ordinary Members should not travel to Thailand.
How will we organize a global conference that all can participate in? We have a plan! We are now working closely with presenters and the Organizing Committee to ensure a mixture of live and recorded presentations so all our Ordinary Members around the world can have the full benefit of this conference.
Our theme is important: how do we achieve meaningful inclusive education for all deaf learners? If you haven’t registered, please do so today, secure in the knowledge that you will have full access to the conference.
